Wow, what a day we all enjoyed!!
Glorious weather, not a cloud in the sky, and a full complement of golfers to kick the day off at the incredibly beautiful Cherry Creek Golf Course.
A full-house of loyal Shamrock 555 supporters rounded off the day and joined us for cocktails, dinner and a host of fundraising opportunities, including our signature Sneakerhead Silent Auction.
Our favorite part of the day continues to be our SLP Impact Award presentation. This year we were able to surprise 4 lucky recipients, namely:
-Renee Canty & Emauria Woodson of the Downtown Boxing Gym
- Kashon Sanders of Beyond Basics
- Emerson Jefferies of the Mosaic Youth Theatre
Each received a $10,000 Award to help cover their educational expenses as they embark on their own personal higher education goals.
We are also looking forward to October 12th when we will fund a project called, “Operation School Bell” in SLP’s name. This exciting opportunity enables us to cloth students at Nolan Elementary School in Detroit. Each child will receive a warm coat, hat, gloves, sweater, underwear, socks, a duffle bag and a hygiene kit just in time for the start of their new school year. (
Without the continued participation of our many loyal Sponsors, golfers, dinner guests and, last but not least, our volunteers this Outing just wouldn’t be the amazing success it has become.
A heartfelt thank you for helping us continue to walk in Luigi’s shoes by supporting us year-after-year with your genuine enthusiasm and contagious spirit. Your generosity enables us to reach our goals of seeking out those in need and helping to make their life brighter with a little Luigi-inspired boost!!
We sincerely “thank you for being YOU” and we look forward to seeing you all again next year for another boisterous, fun-filled event in memory of Stephen Luigi Piazza and his attitude of “spreading kindness around like confetti”.
