2020 Golf Outing

Hello to all of our Shamrock 555 Foundation friends, we hope that everyone has been staying safe and healthy during this difficult time in the world.

After much discussion and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Stephen Luigi Piazza Golf Outing event on August 6th, 2020. We know each of you will be as disappointed as we are to not be able to celebrate this great event honoring SLP among all of our friends, but we feel this is the right decision. The possibility of serious health risks to our guests combined with the likely restrictions to our event and its attendance were the main factors we had to consider.  

We are confident if SLP was here he would have had some witty Luigi-ism to say that would lighten our disappointment and bring things into perspective. Something like… “ When nothing goes right, then you have to go left” or “no rain means no flowers” or one of his personal favorites, “Let's all count our blessings not our problems”.  

The 555 Foundation Board will be meeting periodically over the next few months to evaluate the conditions and risks associated with larger gatherings for later this year. Our goal is to provide a Gala or some alternate event in late 2020 if the world continues to return to more normal conditions. We will keep you all posted as we continue to monitor things and make decisions accordingly.
